21CrMoV5-7 (Werkstoff 1.7709) to EN 10269 and Polish PN 21HMF to PN-89/H-84030 are the same Cr-Mo-V quenched-and-tempered bolting steel under different national designations. 21HMF is widely used in Polish, Czech, Slovak and Hungarian power-plant and turbine procurement. Polish boiler builders (Rafako, Foster Wheeler Energy Polska) and turbine OEMs serving the regional fleet (PGE, CEZ, SE, MVM) typically call out 21HMF by name. The chemistry and mechanical-property envelopes are essentially identical to 21CrMoV5-7.
The Polish bolting steel code 21HMF reads:
21CrMoV5-7 (1.7709) to EN 10269 = AFNOR 20CDV5.7 to NF A35-559 = Polish PN 21HMF to PN-89/H-84030. Same Cr-Mo-V Q+T bolting steel chemistry under three national standards. A single heat lot can be certified against any combination of the three designations.
Q. Are 21CrMoV5-7 and 21HMF identical?
Functionally yes. The chemistry windows and mechanical-property floors are essentially identical. The two designations describe the same Cr-Mo-V Q+T bolting steel under different national standards.
Q. Which countries use the 21HMF designation?
Poland is the home market. The designation is also seen in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary on equipment procured from regional boiler-makers and turbine OEMs (Rafako, Sefako, Foster Wheeler Energy Polska).
Q. Can a heat be dual-certified to both EN 10269 and PN-89/H-84030?
Yes. The chemistry and mechanical-property floors overlap fully. EN 10204 type 3.1 or 3.2 certification can name both designations from a single heat lot.
Q. Can TorqBolt supply to 21HMF?
Yes. Stud bolts M12 to M120, hex bolts to M64, heavy hex bolts to ASME B18.2.6, and matching nuts and washers under either designation with EN 10204 type 3.1 or 3.2 certification.
